Sustainability Statement
Sustainability is at the forefront of everything we do at The Future of Food Production
The Future of Food Production is a community designed to serve the industry. Our must-attend events present an unbiased opportunity to explore and discuss this highly complex issue with world-leading experts. Join our event and discover a wide range of solutions that will have a positive impact through improving food resilience, reducing global pollution and improving human health.
By running the show as a virtual conference, we create less than 1% of the carbon emissions of a live event. According to the recent paper ‘Making Industrial Exhibitions Green’, a three-day conference with 800 attendees has a carbon footprint of 455 tonnes of CO2 equivalents, corresponding to an average of 0.57 tonnes CO2-eq per participant. That is almost as much carbon emissions as a return flight from London to Helsinki, Finland (0.55 CO2-eq).
Sustainability Partners
Future-Proof Group Media works with PlanA, a leading emissions measurement platform. This partnership allows us to measure and report our carbon emissions, reduce them where possible and offset anything leftover though certified local and global offsetting projects approved by PlanA's team of experts.
From planning to execution of the shows, we aim to minimise the environmental impact. We donate 1% of our ticket revenue to Stripe's CO2 Removal Technology Project. We are also a proud member of 1% For The Planet, and contribute another 1% of show revenue to tackling our planet's most pressing environmental issues.
