FuelPositive provides sustainable, “cradle-to-cradle”, clean energy and fertilizer solutions, including a containerized Green Ammonia production system that will revolutionize farming by placing carbon-free nitrogen fertilizer production in farmers’ hands, on their farms.

The production of traditional ammonia, 80% of which is used as fertilizer, represents over 500 million tonnes of carbon emissions every year, making this US$70 billion per year industry one of the heaviest polluters on earth.

This creates a challenging tension between producing much-needed nitrogen fertilizer to meet our needs for global food security and reducing carbon emissions to combat climate change. And that doesn’t even cover the complex and unreliable supply chain that makes supply unpredictable and prices unaffordable.

Our decentralized model places our systems on the farm, providing a stable price and supply. Our technology manufactures Green Ammonia from air, water and sustainable electricity. By using only sustainable electricity, carbon emissions associated with the production of traditional, grey ammonia are eliminated. Farmers will use our systems to produce fertilizer, and ultimately as clean fuel to run their farm machinery, including tractors, generators and grain drying systems. No carbon emissions. No unreliable supply chain. No unaffordable prices.

Once carbon-free, green ammonia is produced on farms using FuelPositive systems, there is still the problem of nitrous oxide (NOx)and other nitrogen-related emissions. We are working with our agriculture advisors to explore how to use Green Ammonia as fertilizer in the least polluting way and to identify the optimal performance of our systems in Controlled Environment Agriculture.
